WHAT TO EXPECT
Power Train Production Operations is responsible for the manufacture of the JLR Propulsion systems to support the current and next generation of JLR vehicles. Delivering a Luxury product, the EMC operations team have established, developed and continue to grow the facility to ensure a first-class service to our customer base.
We are currently hiring for a Powertrain Material Analyst to join the team, reporting to the Release and Follow Up Supervisor, and to be responsible for assigned suppliers to ensure delivery performance of parts are delivered on time to support production operations. The role will be very supply chain orientated, checking on-site stocks, comparing them to production stocks, and overseeing your own supplier portfolio, ensuring parts come through on time, assessing availability of stock, and keeping very close relationships with stakeholders within the relevant business areas.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Liaison with key JLR support departments to ensure parts are available to cover every production build phase and introduction for full shift operating patterns.

Work closely with both Freight & Linefeed Lead Logistics Providers to ensure 100% parts availability

Plant & pipeline inventory management

Prepare & maintain accurate KPI's supporting departmental objectives including plant measurable data for Engine Manufacturing Centre including S/Q/D/C/P/E scorecard measurable

Generate & maintain standards & procedures Interfacing with key areas (Process flows/Desktop procedures)

On Boarding of new parts and new suppliers to plant
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
In order to be considered for this position, your stakeholder management experience will be considered in thorough detail. We are looking for someone who is familiar within the business area, specifically engine and/or battery based, however this is not essential. Likewise, if you have experience with how to use and navigate Microsoft Excel, this will give you a significant advantage.

An individual who is results driven with the ability to deliver operational plans in a highly demanding environment

Can demonstrate strong numerical and analytical skills in data control and understanding of production processes

Must be MRP systems literate in e.g. SAP and demonstrate analytical skills including knowledge of MS Office

Relevant previous experience of material planning and supplies to production within Manufacturing
