WHAT TO EXPECT

 

As an eMachine Design for Manufacture Engineer you will be responsible for overseeing the integration of eMachine rotor/stator assemblies and associated components within the EDU. You will do this whilst ensuring that the manufacturing processes of all eMachine components and assemblies align to the Bill of Process and standards set down by the Manufacturing and Company Quality.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

You will need to lead the CAD team members in the mechanical design of the unit in line with delivery timing/cost targets as well as drawing release process whilst also leading tolerance stack analyses for eMachine rotor and stator subassemblies.

 

As an eMachine Design for Manufacture Engineer you will need to be able to drive the development of measurement plan specifications relating to the mechanical design of eMachine rotor and stator assemblies and subcomponents. Alongside this you will need to drive the development of the Bill of Design for rotor and stator subassemblies and liaise with Manufacturing Engineering.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

 

Essential:

  • Good Understanding of eMachine method of operation
  • Experience in manufacturing processes (ideally eMachines)
  • Strong knowledge of CAD for CAE, technical drawings and GD&T
  • Strong knowledge of DFMEA developing process and associated tools

 

Desirable:

  • Strong communication skills at all levels, including technical writing and presentations
  • Aptitude for identifying and solving complex engineering problems
  • Experience in tolerance stack analysis
