WHAT TO EXPECT

As an Inverter Power Electronics Technical Specialist within JLR’s Advanced Power Electronics Group, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of JLR’s next-generation inverter technology. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Provide line management and technical leadership for the Inverter Hardware Group.

  • Identify and lead advanced engineering projects in line with JLR’s power electronics strategy.

  • Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers, universities, and research institutions.

  • Lead the deployment of JLR’s hardware engineering, CAE, testing, and validation processes for inverter projects.

  • Drive team planning, mentoring, and resourcing, ensuring all functional and safety requirements are met.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Proven track record in delivering complex inverter hardware projects in a mass production environment.

  • Extensive expertise in analog, digital, and power electronics, with a focus on high-voltage IGBTs and SiC MOSFETs.

  • Proficient in schematic capture and PCBA design, preferably using Altium.

  • Strong knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and design for PCB, EMC, and reliability.

  • Experienced in hardware circuit analysis (DFMEA, FMEDA) and failure mode avoidance techniques.
