As a 1D CAE Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading the virtual development of Powertrain thermal management systems for our prestigious vehicle programs. Your primary responsibilities will include managing the 1D CAE Vehicle thermal model and integrating all subsystems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • Manage the 1D CAE Vehicle thermal model and integrate all sub-systems
  • Report virtual validation status against system functional requirements
  • Deliver cooling system designs and specifications for JLR vehicles
  • Contribute to the delivery of functions across all programs, adhering to Systems Engineering discipline outlined by Product Creation Systems
  • Provide technical support and assistance across the operational team on integration and harmonization of cooling system components

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

  • Sound understanding of the Design and Development Process of complex automotive thermal systems and the application of CAE methods
  • Skilled in the use of 1D CAE methods for thermal systems design and optimisation
  • Experience with GT-Cool/GT-Power simulation software
