WHAT TO EXPECT
We are currently hiring for a position of EDU Product Owner to join the Product Engineering team within the Advanced Electric Drive Unit Group. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the technical product delivery by maintaining and prioritising the product backlog.
The squads you will lead are formed by a team of highly capable engineers who define System Attributes and Functions for the entire EDU. This involves developing the next generation EDU targets in conjunction with the Advanced Powerpack domain teams and developing the EDU with the subsystem teams. You will be responsible that these EDU attributes are tested at CAE and physical level by creating and coordinating the DVP for the new generation EDUs.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
• Leading a squad, by defining sprint goals and EPICS to support team capabilities
• Prioritising the product backlog by being the voice of the customer
• Driving technical integration and technical delivery – e.g. major issues, obstacles, build, quality
• Align on submission to Traction Group and Domain Showcases as applicable
• Responsible for the product increment delivery to the Group
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
In order to be considered for this role, you will need to have considerable experience withing EDU or power electronics, ideally specifically with inverters or power converters. If you have experience with being a Product Owner then this will be ideal, but we are prioritising your knowledge of EDU related specifics.
• Experience and knowledge in the field of EDU or Power Electronics System and Attributes/Functions or related area (e.g. Inverter design, EV charging, Battery)
• Ability to lead a resolution of the key technical issues and deliver technical goals within a team environment.
• Familiarity with virtual assessment procedures and system Engineering methodologies, and Advance Engineering Technology Creation
• Analytical skills including the ability to conduct complex research into new technologies and tools.
• Product Ownership knowledge ideally in EDUs, Power electronics or Propulsion
