WHAT TO EXPECT

Reporting to the Global Purchasing Manager you will have overall responsibility for commodity lifecycle activities from Strategy and Sourcing through to Portfolio Management and End Of Life Planning for a After Market Purchasing Strategic Commodity. You will work closely with key stakeholders such as Pricing, Supply Chain and Production Purchasing Global Comunity Lead. After Market Purchasing  have segmented their commodity groups and clearly understand their strategic commodities. Within these strategic commodities are two distinct types: those which are unique to After Market Purchasing  and those where the After Market Purchasing part is the same as a production part or part of an assembly. You’ll be responsible for the After Market Purchasing  element of overall commodity strategy where Production Purchasing own the strategy and sourcing working closely with the Production Purchasing Global Comunity Lead and Global Strategic Buyers

You’ll be responsible for inputting After Market Purchasing requirements into development and deployment of Strategy for a given set of Strategic Commodities.  Supports the creation of a Strategic Commodity Dossier in order to aid Strategic direction for Commodity.

You’ll support new model Sourcing strategy for a given set of Strategic Commodities representing After Market Purchasing  interests

You’ll own strategy and sourcing of non-current portfolio

You’ll be responsible for New Part Sourcing

You’ll be responsible for supplier relationships through supplier performance management process including portfolio management process and the Commercial issue resolution process, responsible for strategic supplier partnerships as defined by the supplier segmentation tool

You’ll be responsible for End of Production Life strategy, planning and delivery

You’ll lead internal stakeholder relationships across the Customer Service function including working closely with Pricing and Commercial and Supply Chain management

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll thoroughly identify opportunities for creating value in a category, structuring & executing complex analyses and applying purchasing tools (e.g., quotation analysis form, analysis, cost breakdown, price variance analysis, Best-of-Benchmarking, value stream mapping...)

You’ll need to translate analytical results into detailed, robust actionable recommendations to the business
You’ll effectively use relevant IT tools for collecting, analysing, and presenting data (e.g. SAP, Excel, PPT)

You’ll be implementing and delivering purchasing strategies across the affected areas of the business
Influencing cross-functional engagement to implement strategies with the focus on total value chain delivery

You’ll define and deliver demanding project plans illustrating clear roles & responsibilities and resource deployment to achieve key milestones across Product Creation System

You’ll ensure that the strategy to be implemented is aligned in order to deliver business gateway requirements

You’ll create and delivering a clear and robust communication plan.
