The Training Academy Lead will be primarily responsible for organization and management of Non-Technical and Technical Training in Canada. This role is critical to support training needs and requirements for all Jaguar Land Rover Canada (JLRC) Retailers. The position will be reporting into the Director of Network Development & Training (located in Mississauga, ON) and the Training Director (located in Mahwah, NJ)

 

The successful candidate will have the overall Canadian responsibility for coordinating and executing training efforts, communication with Director of Network Development and with retailers regarding training needs, launches and in-person training.  Guide retailers on compliance levels, Learner Journeys, as well as how to use the Learning Management System (LMS) to access and sign up for learning modules and courses.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Supporting Canadian Training Academy, budget, schedule, and facilities
  • monitoring and reporting on training completion for Training requirements to retailers monthly/quarterly/yearend
  • In-person training support with attendee booking, scheduling, training material management, food & beverage organization, and other ad hoc responsibilities, while ensuring every aspect of delegate experience is a Modern Luxury one.
  • Responding to retailer questions with regard to training requirements, classroom and virtual enrolments, Launch enrolments, In-Retailer Training enrolments, eLearning issues, training chargebacks, etc.
  • Coordinating with US, and local Canadian teams to build and support teams for competition.
  • Learning Management System (LMS) support (questions, passwords resets / lockouts, tickets).
  • Performing other duties as required

 

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, or equivalent work experience;
  • 5-7+ years experience with automotive OEM / Industry / Retail  
  • 3 to 5+ years experience with Training 
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office 
  • Excellent Communication skills in all areas with in-person, presentations, writing, and phone 
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills 
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage several activities at once    
  • French is an asset but not required
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills are essential, and must be comfortable presenting to all levels of management;
  • Must have strong business acumen, and the ability to work with people at varying levels with the organization and network;

 

 

Schedule:  Monday - Friday
