WHAT TO EXPECT

 

The purpose of this role is to look after day-to-day technical operations for Jaguar Land Rover, Vehicle and Offboard Applications (VOBA). VOBA is custodian of information sent and received from our vehicles across the world. Our team of roughly 200 people are based globally, including UK, China, Ireland and the US. This role will ensure that our agile squads are supported with technical operations such as release management, incident management and 3rd line support. 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

You will be responsible for the rollout of technical operational processes across VOBA, continually looking to improve the way we work, through the Management of 3rd line support rota, rotation and op-in and out, coordinating and communicating production activities when needed.

 

In this role you will be working with Engineering, Financial, Security and Product leads, to proactively support routine activities such as security patching and security certificate management as well as, support multiple agile squads with planning their operational requirements.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

Essential:

 

  • Understanding of industry best practice for technical operations.
  • Able to communicate with a range of technical and business people.
  • Experience with Atlassian products such as Jira and Confluence.

 

Desirable:

 

  • Experience in AWS or Cloud Services.
  • Understanding of Agile / Agile Related methodology (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Service oriented architecture experience.
  • Prioritising business continuity and system resilience
