WHAT TO EXPECT

 

A product Owner leading specific feature creation within the Mobile App Product Group, for JLR, based on our new Global Digital Development Centre in Manchester.

 

We are looking for people driven by a passion for Agile, product ownership and leading the delivery of squads across multiple Mobile products.

 

Becoming an essential part of a collaborative, iterative and agile process within a multi-disciplined team helping deliver best in class digital solutions. This role provides a unique opportunity to help define, support and grow an entirely new agile software delivery capability within JLR. Reporting directly to the Global Digital Development Centre Lead, you will be a valued member of the team, contributing to the strategic direction of the centre and projects delivered.

 

We’re also keen for you to mentor and share your agile skills and knowledge with other members of the scrum teams and the wider Global Digital Development Centre.

 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

 

  • Ownership, definition, maintenance, and prioritisation of the product backlog to meet business needs.
  • Facilitating agreements and trade-offs in the product backlog
  • Oversee all development stages of the product.
  • Removing impediments for the successful delivery of the defined product backlog
  • Evaluate and deploy strategies for the product to guide through the product lifecycle.
  • Helping build, maintain and prioritise development backlogs, with the agile delivery manager ensuring they are detailed enough at the right time.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

  • Experience of product ownership and project delivery through software development teams
  • Successfully applied Agile/ Scaled Agile practices for product ownership.
  • Experience with working across organisational silos and breaking down barriers to successful product ownership.
  • Understanding of basic fundamentals of iterative software development and incremental delivery
  • Understanding of high-quality user stories and how to drive to a satisfactory MVP.
