WHAT TO EXPECT

 

At JLR, we have an exciting opportunity for high calibre and experienced Reliability & Maintainability Engineer to join our Engineering and Technical Services team with the Battery Assembly Centre (BAC) in Hams Hall, Birmingham. 

 

The team supports current & future powertrains for JLR’s range of vehicles. You will oversee delivering of Reliability and Maintainability systems and processes for both recurring manufacture and new, technologically advanced propulsion systems.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • Collaborate with production and production maintenance teams to assist them with issues, major breakdowns improve plant reliability
  • Negotiating and raising SLA contracts ensuring all documentation is in place before vendor's engineers attend site
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis to aid in improvement activities for maintenance and production losses, as well as analysing Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and technical availability 
  • Managing and controlling TPM using the SAP PM system whilst optimise preventative maintenance schedules based on failure analysis
  • Provide technical support to the production line

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

  • Maintenance engineering background and an understanding of Total Productive Maintenance strategies
  • SAP PM navigation & workings
  • Conducting root cause analysis
  • Experience in interacting with vendors, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s) and suppliers
  • An NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) within Maintenance Engineering or a relevant field
