WHAT TO EXPECT:

JLR has some fantastic opportunities for a Skilled Maintenance Technicians to join the Paint Operations and Body Constructions teams at Halewood.

 

Producing modern luxury surface finishes to our customers requires a keen focus and immediate response investigation to ensure continuity of Production.

 

You’ll be part of a large multiskilled maintenance team responsible for the day to day running and maintenance of a heavily automated facility with over 800 robots. In this role, you will be carrying out preventative and predictive maintenance tasks whilst having the opportunity to develop your skills in a wide range of technical equipment including Robotics, PLC’s, Electrical controls, Mechanical servicing and a wide range of industry leading joining technologies such as servo gun welding, laser welding, riveting and sealing technologies.
    
These roles will be based on a shift working pattern therefore flexibility around shift working and some weekend working expected.
    
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recovery of complex breakdowns
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance, break down response, lean improvements and permanent corrective actions while concentrating focus on constraint analysis
  • Complete and document Preventative Maintenance inspections as assigned by the maintenance leadership team
  • Recommend and implement continuous improvement on equipment/systems design
  • Assist associates in area of responsibility on operations and technical understanding of equipment

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • An indentured/ modern apprenticeship or a minimum level 3 qualification in a STEM subject relevant for the role (Electrical, Mechanical, Multi-skilled)
  • Basic mechanical bench work skills
  • Good knowledge of pneumatic / hydraulic systems (including the ability to read drawings)
  • Thorough knowledge of various fault-finding methodologies
  • Use of PLC's with at least Ladder logic understanding
