WHAT TO EXPECT

This exciting position is to lead a dedicated team of engineers who are responsible for the introduction of new facilities, materials and equipment into the Paint shop at Halewood.  You will work closely with our internal customers to provide support at all levels of the business and work alongside the rest of the GME Paint leadership team across our global locations to deliver on the total GME Paint objectives.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

• Provide Management Leadership for the Paint Manufacturing Engineering (GME) Team and lead a team of engineers to deliver new facilities for across all JLR facilities
• Have the knowledge and understanding to develop and review project specifications and facility layouts for Paint shop facilities
• Develop the project schedule with the planning engineers and other departments
• Be responsible for all aspects of Capital Expenditure & Project tracking focusing on Product & Non product related expenditure from project conception through to delivery in line with policies & procedures utilised within JLR
• Ensure Process Capability of all processes and equipment installed by the team

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

In order to be considered for this position you’ll have previous project management and engineering experience within Manufacturing operations and paint experience is essential for this role. 

Essential

• Experience of Paint Shop Processes and Associated Facilities
• Knowledge of the current Paint installation projects, Pre-treatment & E/Coat refurbishment, cavity wax, new vehicle works, and sealing operations would be beneficial
• Confidence with HSE & Construction Design Management regulations (CDM) and strong methodical and accurate approach working within the guideline of GME procedures & processes

• Strong communicator, positive & confident, you’ll be working with other JLR’s departments, suppliers and other organisations and will be supporting or chairing meetings with these customer groups
