WHAT TO EXPECT
Come and join JLR’s Steering System Squad within the Chassis Engineering Lateral Group, which focuses on steering, wheels, and tyres. You will be leading the creation and maintenance of harmonised Systems Engineering artefacts for the steering system, including functional decomposition, requirements authoring, use case analysis, functional failure analysis, logical architecture diagrams and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) models.
The systems engineering framework enables the seamless integration and delivery of high quality complex mechatronic systems into production and maximises the systems' features and functions to enhance the customer’s experience.
You will have a chance to flourish and make your mark in the Steering System Squad, having a say in system engineering processes and joining the projects at the early stages of development.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Interact with adjacent systems and consolidate interfaces
- Create systems engineering documentation timely authored and released
- Create systems engineering framework and documents adopted by the commodity delivery teams
- Undertake systems modelling using Model Based Systems Engineering tools
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Strong Systems Engineering knowledge and understanding
- Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering
- High competency in requirement management
- Experience in Mechatronics Systems design including ISO26262
- Knowledge of SysML language
