WHAT TO EXPECT

This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding team that supports JLR with the purchase and mobility of components to its manufacturing operations overseas

 

The successful candidate will play an active part in driving the JLR corporate objective of ‘Global Growth’. 

 

The Contract Management team is responsible for mobilisation and governance of all service and supply contracts for Trading Division, right from the earliest stage working with Contract Management Project Specialist on new sourcing projects, through to managing a contract during its lifecycle. Our contracts include warehousing, packaging, freight management, and anything else needed to ensure successful day to day movement of goods.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Contract mobilisation, working in conjunction with Indirect Procurement and Contracts Project Specialist.
  • Managing full contract governance including Setting up and managing a standardised governance framework, Chairing review meetings and Contractual issue resolution
  • Providing guidance and intelligence on the freight commodity to stakeholders in areas such as global market conditions, risks, opportunities and business case analysis.
  • Status reporting to new programme management
  • Supplier relationship management
  • Acting as deputy for Contracts Manager
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement ideas for the benefit of your own commodity and for your team

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Experience of managing contracts and performance monitoring in line with Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
  • Knowledge of cost drivers in a logistics and supply chain environment (especially freight related and for all modes of transport)
  • Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills
  • Good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office tools and SAP
  • Holds a full and clean driving licence
