JOB TITLE: Security Consultant Secure Code & Device
SALARY: £60,000 -£70,000 depending on experience

WHAT TO EXPECT :

 

We are looking for a Security Architect with broad technical Information Security skillsets to be responsible for multiple components of security architecture within the Information Security function. The role involves working with a team of Lead Security Architects to deliver significant additional capability into Information Security environment in the areas of DevSecOps and other code authoring environments. The role will cover both code development platforms and infrastructure together with security of devices used to develop the code.

 

This specific role focuses on production of secure code for both on and off vehicle purposes, encompassing:
•    Secure management of code during development
•    DevSecOps toolsets including central monitoring tools
•    Secure coding environments (People, tools, environment)
•    Code validation and assurance
•    “Chain of Trust” code delivery
.

The individual will be expected to work well within a matrix management environment, with separate reporting lines for line management and technical direction, whilst also supporting agile delivery methodologies. The role will be primarily Gaydon based, with occasional travel to other code development teams in Manchester and Ireland. Hybrid / flexible working will be possible

 

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:

 

For the Secure code development areas discussed above you will:
•    Identify information security risks and proactively work to ensure that Information risk are identified, assessed and mitigated across the business.
•    Work within the established governance processes to ensure that new IT solutions are delivered to a high standard of security. Contribute to the refinement and improvement of such governance processes. 
•    Collaboration with the wider Information Technology Management community to provide information security advice ensure that the appropriate technologies in place to protect the information of the business 
•    Work with the business to identify and understand future Information security risks and provide appropriate input to ensure that such risks are minimised ahead if time.
•    Identify information security threats and vulnerabilities within projects and programmes, assess information security risks and advise the relevant team on appropriate methods and security configurations to protect and prevent impact to business systems
•    Monitor trends in information security and incorporate into departmental strategy

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED :

 

Essential:
•    SME level understanding of DevSecOps / SDLC processes and toolsets with experience in implementation of these toolsets
•    Previous experience and background in Information Security at a management level 
•    Proven good working knowledge of industry IT compliance standards, particularly in design and implementation 
•    Knowledge of information security principles and best practices and experience in managing information security risk 
•    Significant experience in successful adoption of these controls in code development teams
•    Significant experience of working and influencing cross-functionally and managing external agencies 
•    Experience of relationship management of senior stakeholders 
•    Strong IT skills, able to analyse data for reporting purposes and follow work instruction  
•    Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred

 

Desirable: 
•    Knowledge and experience in Information Security Auditing Techniques
•    Advanced IT security certifications such as CISSP.
•    Experience in manufacturing Industries
•    Experience in IoT technologies & connected car
•    Agile code development toolsets
•    Specialist skillsets in Network Security
•    Specialist skillset in Cloud security
•    Specialist security skillset in Collaborative tools / email
•    Specialist security skillset in Application development and code implementation.
