WHAT TO EXPECT
This exciting role is to design, develop, validate, and introduce Cabin components into Vehicle programs. We are looking for a motivated individual with a strong understanding of a product development life cycle.
You will manage the component delivery plan to quality, cost, and time and lead on the technical content and integrity of specific components and systems across specific programmes. Cabin Components Commodities are predominantly “Made to Print” enabling full responsibility of the development process to be managed.
Day to day, you will work within agile squads to engineer cabin components on time, to cost quality and sustainability. You will support the engineering program life cycle activities and apply fundamental engineering principles to everyday activities. You will need to manage your Cabin components through the development, validation, and launch phases and will need to ensure all appropriate standards and requirements are met throughout the development process.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
As a Project Engineer, you will have an understanding of component manufacturing technologies as well as knowledge of the development process for a component. You will be a good communicator with the ability to communicate complex ideas as well as being a resilient and enthusiastic team player.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Previous experience of managing resolution of business, technical and process issues within a Project Team environment
- Understanding of a new product development life cycle
- Understanding of problem-solving tools and techniques
- Understanding of Digital, CAD, CAE, etc tools to develop component system geometry.
- Skilled in key software applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Degree qualified or equivalent experience preferred
