WHAT TO EXPECT

 

JLR are currently looking for a Materiality Innovation and Research Manager to join their industry leading Creative Department.

 

In this role you will be leading all Materiality activities for Whitespace projects, partnering with the Vehicle Design Strategy Team and Materiality Design Senior Managers. The main focus of the role is to identify, create and deliver whitespace projects that inform a holistic approach across the House of Brands that alignment to Business objectives. Creating the most desirable, relevant and exceptional client experiences, underpinning the Reimagine strategy.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • Highly conceptual and creative thought process with an ability to pragmatically strategies the bigger picture across all 4 houses of brand.
  • Exceptional communication, storytelling skills to take Senior Stakeholders on a journey.
  • Ability to visualise a future state not yet created.
  • Lead competitor and analogous industry benchmarking and collaborate with external suppliers
  • Share best practice with the team as well as Creative and Technical advice and direction as appropriate

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

  • Extensive experience in working in research and innovation within materiality and textiles.
  • The ability to identify potential future issues as a result of change in legislation or lack of supply and provide solutions and future proofing.
  • Proven track record of working in the experimental Whitespace part of the Design Process.
  • Has expertise in multiple design processes, both physical and digital.
  • Has expertise and interest in Global Material and colour Trends and Analogous Industry Direction and innovation.
