WHAT TO EXPECT

 

This role will work as part of the estate management maintenance team to provide mechanical support to Gaydon and potentially other non-manufacturing sites. 

 

You’ll be responsible for first line response to requests or issues with equipment via the internal system or calls from customers and other site supervision and management.

 

Working as part of the maintenance team operating from a central facilities workshop, you’ll be responsible for carrying out maintenance, fault-finding and installation work in a variety of buildings with state of the art vehicle design, test and office facilities.

 

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

 

  • Low and high pressure hot water systems, pumps, boilers, valves etc
  • Compressed air systems and general plant room maintenance
  • Hydraulics and Pneumatics, installation and repair
  • Heating/ventilation and air conditioning systems
  • General plumbing Kitchen/toilet installations/fault-finding and repairs and mechanical equipment repairs

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

  • Completion of an appropriate trade apprenticeship with education to NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • Experience in Plumbing and pipework systems of all types
  • Competent in working on water / sewage pumping systems
  • Experience on workshop equipment and machinery and competent at mechanical repairs
  • Demonstrable experience in the application of a logical approach to Problem Solving
