WHAT TO EXPECT

 

This role will aim to make sure the power of data and analytics reaches everyone with the Commercial team at JLR. Focusing on customer and marketing data the role will seek to proactively provide value add insights that drive changes to business process and also support reactive analysis based on business questions and hypothesises.

 

The role will also aim to provide consistency to reporting and insight from all Analytics development squads and support the Customer and Marketing Analytics team in promoting more self-service from inside the wider Commercial team. The role will have shared responsibility for the Customer and Marketing Analytics Graduate pool, providing mentoring and support and ensuring the graduates are allocated to products/projects that meet their developmental needs and drive business value.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

 

  • Triage business requests for insight, work with business owners to determine the right output (PowerPoint, dashboard, story, dataset/table....) and then schedule delivery with Agency Team (or JLR Grads) and report results back to the business and track any value created from the insights.

  • Maintain current dashboards ensuring accuracy and monitoring usage and optimising performance. Triage change request to determine if the BAU team can deliver them or if they need to be passed to the dashboard development squads.

  • Ensure consistency of dashboard produced in each of the analytics product squads and ensure all dashboards are appropriately linked to both the Customer and Marketing Analytics Hub but also in the wider Commercial Hub as appropriate.

  • Work with Commercial Management Information System (MIS) team and Digital Product Creation team to ensure C&MA dashboards have a consistent look and feel to other JLR dashboards and are leveraging the most up to date functionality available such as Gen AI capability

  • Work with the data Engineering Chapter Lead to deliver a self-service data layer to support regional/brand analytics teams and facilitate the growth of "citizen analysts" in the wider commercial function.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

  • Ability to use visualisation software ideally Tableau to create interactive dashboards than navigate users to an answer.

  • Knowledge of SQL and ability to rapid pro-type data sets for analysis or visualisation.

  • Passion for Data visualisation and desire to be always learning and pushing the boundaries of development.

  • Ability to tell stories through data to convince people to change behaviours.

  • Ability to work independently and proactively, taking full ownership and responsibility for own work; fully invested in achieving a successful result.
