WHAT TO EXPECT 


Join our team of next generation thinkers! A Project Management role for our ‘non-vehicle’ projects & programmes at JLR which are carried out differently across our business functions. We don’t have a standard way of delivering, governing, reporting or assuring these projects, which is where we need you to reduce results in; late delivery, cost over runs or falling short of business case commitments.

 

These non-product projects & programmes follow a standardised financial appropriation process, but no consistent methods to delivery of the programme. We will rely on your capability, experience, preferred tools enhance each project.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

 

  • Support for the overall implementation of a tailorable Project management framework, as well as a simple, easy to use toolkit of processes / systems / tools / practices to support the delivery, control, governance, self-assurance and independent assurance of our projects.
  • Support the development of an approach for how we assure adherence to the delivery toolset, linking in with the corporate assurance and audit teams for best practice.
  • To track progress of the portfolio of projects under the EPMO, analysing project data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Be part of the PMO community of practice across JLR to drive a focus on deployment and continuous improvement.
  • Support the administration of EPMO OKRs in the Quantive Tool.
  • Support in the development of a standardised reporting material / reporting deck/pack that is used by all projects and programmes to input to the QBR process and supports programme governance.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED 

 

  • Experience as a project or programme management analyst
  • A clear understanding of the differences between project control and project management.
  • Practical experience of techniques & processes for planning, monitoring and controlling projects & programmes, including risks management.
  • Credibility within the project management environment and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
