The Opportunity
This role is responsible to lead the definition; development and delivery of harmonised systems solutions, consisting of multiple interconnected components, into JLR Vehicles for the Accessories team.  Ideal for an individual, who works independently, is results driven, demonstrating tenacity, drive and perseverance with the ability to deliver operational plans in a complex, highly demanding environment. A strong ability to understand complex technology, and to lead problem solving and solution synthesis. 

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Deliver accessory electrical content and to deliver the key targets (on time, cost & quality) for assigned programs.
• Deliver timely engineering solutions to programme requirements as per Gateway deliverables process for assigned programs 
• Support and develop electrical feasibility and concepts studies to support new and existing accessory commodities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure electrical commodity delivered within targets
• Co-ordinate CAD geometry development / maturity of DS's to programme timing and ensure compatibility with core products 
• Adhere to electrical standards when creating solutions for accessory delivery working alongside the Subject Matter Experts.
• Adhere to Electrical BoD / BoP /DFMEA when delivering electrical solutions for accessories.
• Review any Lessons Learned from previous programs and deliver into future designs.
• Support electrical component delivery through Global supplier purchasing process.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:  

• Broad understanding of influencing factors in a business case
• Understanding of issue management process and problem solving methodologies
• Knowledge in design test planning, validation and reporting
• Knowledge in component to system verification planning and delivery
• Microsoft Office tools User
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical architecture 
• Experience of EMC and CAN Bus / Networking 
• project management experience
