WHAT TO EXPECT
Capacity planning is the foundation upon which Jaguar Land Rover ensures that retailers will be able to serve our customers with appropriate lead times and will enable retailers and JLR to realise relevant aftermarket revenue.
The role will help us ensure we have the right capacity in markets to support the current and future needs of our most discerning of customers.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Definition of required service capacity. Determine the long-term projections of Service Hour requirements for the JLR retail network across 1700 retailers worldwide.
• You will be able to achieve this by working closely with cross-functional specialist teams across Commercial, Engineering, Product Marketing, Quality and Network Planning etc to determine the service hour requirements for each Market, each nameplate and powertrain.
• Manage and enhance the Service Hour Opportunity tool in line with market requirements.
Performance Management and Continuous Improvement of global service capacity. Performance management to ensure Regions and Markets have the right levels of capacity, in the right retail locations, to support our customers.
• Become a trusted advisor to our regional teams and their Markets by identifying retailers with capacity shortfalls. By working closely with the Retailer Performance Intelligence team, you will develop intelligence proposals that will put into context the identified retailers with capacity constraints to enable quick and reliable decision making.
• Enhance existing reporting tools and capabilities. Maintain regular reporting tailored to market needs.
• Monitoring, reporting and provision of trends and achievements at market level.
Best practice. Your data-driven approach will head best practice identification for capacity related processes. You will be able to achieve this by working closely with the regional teams, Retail Operations and the Retail Performance Intelligence team to develop a framework and process to share best practice across different markets and teams.
Simulation of impact of possible service capacity actions. Manage and enhance the existing Scenario Planning tool to enable the field teams in markets to plan and measure network Capacity requirements.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
As the Service Capacity Lead, you’ll need the following knowledge, skills and experience:
• Comprehensive knowledge of capacity planning and performance management (technician utilisation, productivity, efficiency).
• Demonstrable experience in delivering data-driven insights and intelligence proposals.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working cross-functionally with regions, markets, and other internal teams.
• Experience with report creation and tailoring to specific stakeholder needs.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage and execute action plans timely and effectively.
• Skilled communicator with the ability to communicate complex concepts.
• Results orientated and organised with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines, presenting the ability to motivate others to deliver.

• Effective communicator, able to convey complex information clearly to different audiences and gain buy-in from stakeholders.
