The successful candidate will move to Post 2011 Salaried Jaguar Land Rover terms and conditions unless it is a lateral move.  If you are in the Defined Benefit (DB) Pension Scheme, this benefit will continue and you will be eligible for bonus under the Global Bonus Plan in place of RHA or Attendance Supplement which will not continue.

 

WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Join JLR’s electrification journey! We are seeking an EDU System Attribute Engineer to support the definition, development, and delivery of the EDU (Electric Drive Unit) Performance Attribute. You will collaborate with component teams—including Inverter, Electric Machine, Transmission, and Cooling Systems—to build world-class EDUs for next-generation vehicles.

 

The EDU System Attribute Engineer will assist in the design, development, and validation of the EDU Performance Attribute, ensuring seamless integration of interconnected components such as eMachine, inverter, transmission, and software.

 

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

 

  • Support the delivery of EDU systems across JLR’s vehicle range.

  • Assist in defining performance targets and verification methods based on customer requirements and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.

  • Contribute to the delivery of EDU systems aligned with the Systems Engineering principles of Product Creation Systems.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to resolve integration challenges and analyze performance data.

  • Work on forward strategies for EDU attributes, including new function definitions and failure mode avoidance.

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

 

  • In-depth understanding of eMachines, inverters, and EDU systems, including cooling and lubrication systems.

  • Experience in Requirements Management across areas such as Power Torque, Efficiency, NVH, EMC, Durability, or High Voltage systems.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with effective communication abilities.

  • Full driving license essential.
