Our world class team is currently looking for an experienced HV Battery Manager to complement our expanding team.
In this role you’ll lead the technical delivery of high voltage traction battery systems for Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) products across the Jaguar Land Rover range of vehicles. You’ll be responsible for leading and developing a team of senior engineers in order to develop and deliver a comprehensive and aligned strategy for the full life cycle delivery of HV batteries from both suppliers and within Jaguar Land Rover. In this role you’ll be responsible for delivery across the full life cycle including specification, design, integration, verification and launch activities.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
As the HV Battery Manager within SVO you’ll have expert knowledge of BEV and PHEV battery systems and associated technologies. The role demands strong technical leadership utilising cross functional resource, planning and reporting status and the versatility to deal with changing circumstances whilst both identifying risks and possible solutions to challenging issues. Providing clear direction and balancing of attribute trade-offs whilst considering the programme deliverables on quality, cost, weight, function and timing are critical aspects of the role.
Knowledge, Skills & Experiance:
Essential:
- Degree in an Engineering discipline with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
- Expert knowledge of BEV and PHEV battery systems and associated technologies.
- Proven delivery experience of HV propulsion systems.
- Experience of solving complex technical issues using a structured approach with the ability to identify areas for improvement
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Desirable:
- Proven experience of managing delivery of complex systems from the supplier base.
- Experience of successful engineering delivery in a low investment environment.
- Understanding of regulations applicable to BEV and PHEV batteries.
- Experience of leadership and management of technical teams, with evidence of a coaching style to develop people to top performance.
