WHAT TO EXPECT:
We have an exciting opportunity to be part of a new engineering facility, the IOTC that is based at Castle Bromwich. 
 
You’ll be working to support the business with the delivery of a range of engineering requests designed and manufactured in house to deliver effectively on cost and quality. An exciting new start for in house engineering, be a part of a team that has endless potential as we look forward into the future and plan to expand our capabilities and capacity.
    
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Programming, Setting and operating CNC machines and machining centres, complex work holding / set ups
  • Translates the requirements of detailed part drawings into measurements for production
  • Set speeds and feeds and fitting the right tools for the required work
  • Able to follow manufacturing plans efficiently
  • TPM and 5’s of the workshop

 
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Indentured/modern apprenticeship or minimum level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering
  • Fully conversant with all aspects of CNC machining
  • Able to online program CNC machines from a technical drawing, toolroom, jigs and fixtures,
  • Experience in planing manufacturing methods / operations and workflow to ensure the finished part is to spec
  • Able to use all aspects of manual measurement equipment to inspect their own work to ensure compliance to drawing tolerances
  • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret the manufacturing method required
