WHAT TO EXPECT

We are seeking an experienced Test Operation Engineer to join our Assisted and Automated Driving (AAD) team. In this crucial role, you will spearhead the testing efforts for our cutting-edge AAD systems. Your responsibilities will include designing, executing, and reporting on comprehensive test plans and test cases to evaluate expected functional behaviour, ensure the safety, reliability, and performance of our AAD features by using state of the art test assets.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Participation in the development and implementation of robust test strategy, test cases, and test strategies for AAD systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and translate them into executable test scenarios.
• Design and conduct HiL and SiL level testing activities for a wide range of AAD features.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and operation of test assets, rigs, tools, logging equipment, and other testing instruments.
• Collect, analyse, and interpret test data from various sources.
• Documenting test results, identified issues, and recommendations for improvements.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools.
• Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering knowledge sharing and promoting best practices in XiL testing.
   

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in requirement based testing, with a strong focus on HiL testing of automotive systems, preferably in the ADAS or AD domains.
• In-depth knowledge of vehicle architecture, embedded systems, and automotive software development processes.
• Proficiency in data acquisition tools and data analysis techniques.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks and scripting languages.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Desirable: 

• ISTQB Foundation or equivalent software testing certification.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 26262, ISO 29119, ASPICE, MISRA).
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies and testing practices.
• Knowledge of HiL rig development processes. 
• Experience with automotive logging tools
• Proficient in the use and application of a programming / scripting language (C/C++, python, Java, or similar)
