WHAT TO EXPECT

 

As a Quality Process Engineer, you will play a big role within Quality Engineering and technical support to the manufacturing teams. You will need to work collaboratively with a number of functions, including ME, PD, MPM and the manufacturing areas in the resolution of issues on projects and the tracking of resolution through to completion.

 

A key aspect of the role will be the ability to drive a team to correctly identify the root cause of an issue and then install a robust countermeasure to ensure the same issue does not occur again. You would need to be able to understand the tools of problem solving and apply them across a range of issues at the same time.

You will develop and grow within the role as the Plant Quality capabilities grow and mature. 

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • A primary interface for the Quality Engineering team in the resolution of issues derived from warranty analysis, VO plant customer concerns and internal quality
  • Develop a quality management process that delivers the level 1 scorecard targets for warranty and customer concerns
  • Identify and address internal procedures that affect level 1 scorecard targets
  • Lead the development of the warranty tear down area to delivery efficiency improvements and the feedback of information into the central quality function
  • Be the driver of accurate problem solving within the plant

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

  • Experience of Manufacturing/Engineering processes, tools and techniques
  • Ability to create and lead detailed and effective action plans
  • Man management experience to lead a team solving complex problems and install effective countermeasures
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels
