WHAT TO EXPECT
Are you ready to be at the forefront of innovation and quality assurance? As a Propulsion Test & Investigation Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our products exceed customer expectations and meet the highest quality standards. Your mission will be to define, maintain, and develop cutting-edge test processes, investigations, facilities, and systems that align with stringent Engineering Specifications and Conformity of Production requirements. You will be the driving force behind product strip back, TAG, and component changes for all EPMC commodities, ensuring that every propulsion Dyno & Shaker test is robust and reliable.
In this dynamic role, you will collaborate with the Plant Quality Engineering team to validate production, warranty, and investigation activities, ensuring they are executed with precision and integrity. As we introduce new products and technologies, you will be instrumental in growing and maturing our Plant Quality Engine and BEV testing capabilities. This is your chance to lead continuous improvement initiatives, enhance our production facilities, and work closely with other departments to drive quality advancements. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and streamline test processes and procedures in line with Quality, Engineering, and Conformity of Production requirements.
- Identify and address utilisation issues, coordinating with cross-functional teams for resolution and improvement.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and processes, providing justifications for their incorporation into EPMC programs.
- Liaise, support, and influence the definition for any investigation and problem-solving.
- Assist with Propulsion Technicians & Facility Technicians in maintaining PQ facilities parts, stock lists, and spares requirements.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- Technical understanding of Powertrain/Propulsion Test – Engines, EDU, and Battery.
- Working knowledge of Test Cell conditions/environment using applications such as AVL Puma, ETAS INCA toolset, Fuel Measurement devices, Ambra, and CAN.
- Capability to lead and coordinate cross-functional concern resolution and improvement activities.
- Strong analytical and PC skills, including Excel, Tableau, JIRA, MiniTab, AVL ETAS INCA PUMA Concerto, MDA, and other data analysis tools.
