WHAT TO EXPECT

 

The team are responsible for identifying issues related to JLR products where there may be an unreasonable risk to safety or compliance. This covers vehicles in use with customers, within the retail network, within vehicle distribution and within manufacturing plants These issues are identified as Critical Concerns and the responsible Critical Concerns Senior Engineer leads the investigation with the person most knowledgeable within JLR. 
 
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • Supporting departments jointly with the broader Critical Concerns’ Team, engage in the methodical and robust progression of Critical Concern investigations, producing accurate records and working cross-functionally to drive prompt decisions
  • Arrange and chair review meetings with Critical Concern originators to assess and progress investigation delivery
  • Identify Prototype Critical Concern issues for progression to, and then set up and lead the Suspension of use Meeting 
  • Interface at all levels with the Customer Relations Centre, Product Investigation Engineers, Technical Support Engineers, STA and Manufacturing associates (Plant Quality and Current Manufacturing Engineering) for queries relating to Critical Concerns

 
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
 

  • Evidence of excellence in interpersonal skills and ability to present and articulate a clear point of view at all levels within the business
  • Experienced in the PCDS process, aware of the significance of gateways and software levels to vehicle operability
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment and broad whole vehicle system knowledge 
  • Proficient in IQM, TOPIX, MEStools, Ecat, FMS, Salesforce
