WHAT TO EXPECT

 

We are looking for Lead CAE Engineer to work within virtual engineering for our vehicle and powertrain programs.

 

You’ll be responsible for vehicle level analysis to predict tail pipe emissions of gasoline and diesel programs. The role requires good understanding of detailed aftertreatment system modelling. 

 

As a Lead CAE Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting CAE modelling, analysis and reporting.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • Conduct 1D vehicle emissions modelling to size systems, support technology selection, and aid calibration development.
  • Solve issues related to emissions predictions and present simulation results with actionable recommendations to customers.
  • Lead the enhancement of 1D Powertrain Systems CAE tools and processes for hybrid vehicle emissions analysis.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure timely delivery of system assessments and align with sprint plans.
  • Develop and execute correlation plans, improving model accuracy against physical test data for hybrid vehicles.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

  • Strong experience in aftertreatment modelling and engineering understanding (as simulation or calibration engineer).
  • Excellent working knowledge of electrified powertrain architectures and operating characteristics.
  • Substantial industrial experience of assessing and verifying vehicle/powertrain emissions (desirable in a CAE environment).
  • Good analytical capability and breadth of experience in Matlab /Simulink.
  • Able to identify and respond to the strengths and limitations of computer-based modelling and simulation.
