WHAT TO EXPECT

 

The Global Financial Services (GFS) team strategy is to drive best in class financial processes. Our purpose is to streamline and optimise end-to-end processes, reduce costs and improve customer experience for the benefit of those who we partner, with Global Process Owners (GPO) at the heart of our organisation.

 

As a Finance Team Leader - Fixed Costs you will be working closely with the UK NSC function and wider commercial team working on Emissions and Connected Cars.

 

The role will lead, manage & coach a team (currently 3 analysts) and you will be responsible for completing and overseeing the month end process, ensuring it runs smoothly by processing all standard and ad hoc adjustments in line with policy and you will take ownership of the relevant account reconciliations.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • Preparing financial information and reports for presentation to stakeholders
  • Timely processing of financial transactions to ensure accurate financial statements
  • Reviewing and signing off account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Being a strong advocate for GFS
  • Maintaining financial modelling processes and monitoring progress versus key targets,supporting transformation projects and initiatives to improve processes

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

 

  • Be a qualified accountant
  • Experience of working in Finance/shared service and/or supporting commercial teams
  • Strong communication skills – able to effectively interpret and communicate financial data to both senior finance and non-finance audiences
  • Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail and the ability to review, challenge and embed key processes
  • Strong IT skills, particularly with Excel
