SALARY: £36,000 - £49,000

POSTING START DATE: 25/6/2024

LOCATION: Warwickshire

JLR is harnessing technology to make driving smarter, safer and cleaner. You can help create a world in which responsible, sustainable vehicles revolutionise the driving experience for generations. Our vision is to leverage the incredible potential of technology to build vehicles that not only offer a premium, all-encompassing digital experience, but that also make our customers lives better.

WHAT TO EXPECT

You will have the chance to be a part of history as this will be the first time that JLR will be working on their own BMCM’s in house. As a Software Release Engineer you will support coordination activities including planning, development, testing, and validation. You will work with project stakeholders to enable the delivery of JLR’s next generation Battery Management Control Module.

You will work alongside Software Lead Engineer, Product owners, subject matter experts, software delivery engineers, in-house software teams and external suppliers to secure on time releases for our partnership TPEM applications. Strong ability to prioritise workload and time will be crucial to the contribution towards successful deliveries.

 Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Support software status, functionality and timings communications

  • Support daily activities to deliver all assigned application projects

  • Coordinate programme requirements, resource impacts and build plan accordingly

  • Be part of assigned product issue resolution actions

  • Input to project plans, resource usage trackers, and project status

 WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Ability to work independently and proactively, taking full ownership and responsibility for own work; fully invested in achieving a successful result.

  •  Experience of embedded software projects, interacting with diverse cross-functional teams

  • You view things as a team rather than individual project level, considering the wider team needs.

  • Interpersonal/communication skills, including ability to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.

  • Previous experience in Powertrain technical project delivery, with a successful track record

SO WHY US?

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and performance related bonus scheme. All this and more makes JLR the perfect place to continue your journey.

This role may offer the opportunity for hybrid working where you can split your time between working from home and in the office. At JLR, hybrid working is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement providing employees with more choice and flexibility around how, when and where they work, if suitable for their role. Further details can be discussed with the Hiring Manager at interview stage.
