WHAT TO EXPECT

 

This Controls Integration Lead Engineer will get to lead the verification and delivery of an integrated Propulsion Control System involving the analysis of system design proposals and carrying out verification testing to ensure the latest propulsion software is fully robust.  You'll work with the software control design teams to improve system compatibility and will investigate and resolve any issues found during testing. 

 

This is an opportunity well suited to someone with Software and Project experience ideally within the Powertrain/Propulsion automotive world.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • Delivery of integrated software packs for the Propulsion systems used in each vehicle programme

  • Regular review of System Requirements and application of Failure Mode Avoidance principles

  • Ensuring sufficient test case coverage for system verification on vehicles and multi-ECU HIL rigs

  • Integration point testing is planned and delivered on a regular basis to ensure robust and up to date software is always available

  • Support issue investigations with software teams and suppliers ensuring the use of structured problem solving techniques

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

 

  • Experience of software issue investigation and root cause analysis

  • Experience of project management and system engineering principles

  • Knowledge of Propulsion systems, including high voltage electrified components

  • Experience in defining and verifying requirements for Control Systems

  • Knowledge of automotive software, calibration and networks
