JOB TITLE: Senior Security Analyst
LINE MANAGER: Paul Vickers
The successful candidate for the above role will retain their current employer, i.e. if you are a Jaguar employee you will continue to be administered on the Jaguar grading structure with the associated terms and conditions. If you are currently on BAC or EMC terms, you will retain your current employer but will transfer to a JLR contract and the associated terms and conditions. 




We are looking for a Senior Security Analyst with a working knowledge of Information security skills and principles with excellent organisational skills. You’ll be responsible for supporting the technical governance process within the Information & Cyber Security (ICS) function at Jaguar Land Rover. The role involves collaborating with IT project delivery teams together with security architects and consultants contributing to both Waterfall and Agile project delivery methodologies. There will also be opportunities to play an active role in the adoption of security toolsets and patterns.

The role represents an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to progress to a Security Architect or Security Consultant in the future.


You’ll also be responsible for:



  • Supporting the architecture governance process by ensuring that project teams are aligned to required deliverables.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of Information Security policies and procedures and reviewing information security related audits and threat analysis.
  • Identifying information security risks and proactively working with the risk owners to ensure that such risks are documented, assessed and mitigated across the business.
  • Supporting the information security risk management process and ensuring all risks have been identified and documented.
  • Working closely with the wider Information Technology community to provide information and security advice.
  • Reviewing information security threats and vulnerabilities, assessing information security risks and advising the relevant teams on appropriate methods and security configurations to protect and prevent impact to business systems.
  • Monitoring trends in information security and incorporating into security designs, as appropriate.




To be successful in the role you’ll need the following skills and experience:



  • Experience and a background in Information Security, Information Technology, or a closely related area.
  • Knowledge of information security principles and best practices and experience in managing information security risks.
  • Ability to produce threat analysis studies against project designs.
  • Ability to work with all project members to raise awareness of Information Security.
  • Strong IT skills and able to process data for reporting and data analytics purposes. 
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent customer facing skills

If you are an existing Jaguar Land Rover employee at the same grade as this position, please be aware that no pay increases are applied to lateral moves. For promotions, the salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including the size of and skills required for the role, the external market value of the role and your individual knowledge and experience.
