WHAT TO EXPECT

We are seeking an experienced Engineer who is well versed at leading on project delivery associated to software and calibration engineering.  This is an opportunity to act as a Product Owner leading on the delivery of our new powertrain software and calibrations into our vehicle lineup of hybrid and plug-in vehicles.  You'll get to maximise the value that the squad produce while playing a key role in the ongoing agile transformation in JLR Powertrain.

As an impact of your work, you'll have created a highly motivated and focused team who have a clear understanding of their priorities and goals set in an agile project environment.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• You'll take complete ownership over project delivery (software and calibrations)
• You will be involved in eliminating technical, process, learning, organisational debt (by correctly prioritised backlog and correct scope of backlog items, including transformation)
• Eliminate time/effort waste of the Squad
• Maximise on the value the team generates (as interface between the stakeholders and the team)
• Promote values and behaviours that JLR work to (customer love, unity, integrity, growth, impact)
• You'll ensure stakeholders are engaged and aligned to objectives and the squad/group/domain is protected from unnecessary distractions or interference

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• You'll be from the automotive industry with depth of experience where you have led on software and calibrations delivery throughout the engineering cycle    
• You'll be able to demonstrate that you have delivered on projects from concept to series production (so not just prototype)
• You'll also be able to demonstrate your success with stakeholder engagement ideally in an agile environment.
