WHAT TO EXPECT
Operating at Programme level this Group Scrum Master role will have the opportunity to support vehicle engineering programs and products where JLR are evolving the automotive technology of the future.
You have the opportunity to work with product and engineering leaders to drive collaboration across multiple software development teams and be at the cutting edge of technology using the latest advanced driver assisted system (ADAS) techniques.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with GPO, Product Owners (POs), Scrum Masters (SMs) to act as primary facilitator and coach for group events during the life cycle of the group products
- Work with the squads within the group (GPO, POs, SMs) to create/maintain backlogs aligned to the product roadmap in order to support business prioritisation and program deliverables
- Guide / coach the SMs within the group to facilitate agile ceremonies and lead by example
- Enablement of timely obstacle resolution within the group to ensure obstacles (risks, impediments, dependencies) are resolved/escalated appropriately
- Support group with data-driven metrics, providing insight on their ways of working/delivery/processes
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- You’ll need in-depth knowledge of agile methodologies, in scaled environments, as well as more traditional Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, e.g., Waterfall, to ensure project deliverables are met to the required software quality standards and program alignment
- Significant experience in Programme Management & SDLC
- Knowledge of recognised software delivery methodologies – for example Agile, Lean, Waterfall
- Experience in working across the full Software Development Life Cycle
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and pursuade others along with flexibility and results led focus and a capability of being an out of the box thinker to resolve complex problems
