WHAT TO EXPECT
JLR is seeking a DCDC Future Quality Engineer to champion best practice processes and engineering our DCDC sub-systems. Join our Power Electronics team, which leads the design and delivery of Mild Hybrid (MHEV), Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV), and Full Electric Vehicles (BEV).
In this role, you will act as a Power Electronics Forward Model Quality Engineer for our 48V DCDC’s and will be responsible for defining and iterating DCDC hardware & software requirements using best practise failure mode avoidance tools and techniques.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Define and manage robust DCDC sub-system requirements, ensuring alignment with JLR standards.

Lead Failure Mode Avoidance (FMA) activities, including DFMEA and risk mitigation.

Collaborate across teams to establish and refine generic DCDC requirements for vehicle integration.

Capture lessons learned from development projects and field issues, ensuring continuous improvement.

Act as a subject matter expert for DCDC hardware topics, contributing to process enhancements and design reviews.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED

In-depth knowledge of DCDC systems and their integration into automotive platforms.

Expertise in low-voltage and high-voltage hardware design.

Proven experience leading Failure Mode Avoidance (FMA) activities for complex electronic components.

Strong requirements authoring skills and familiarity with associated management tools.

Excellent interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
