WHAT TO EXPECT
 
FA3 in Trim and Final at Solihull Plant  is the home of the iconic Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. We are a dynamic and innovative build hall with a strong commitment to Customer Love through continuous improvement and people engagement.

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Production Manager to join our FA3 team. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, ensuring efficient and effective operations while maintaining the highest quality standards .  You will be responsible for managing a team with a clear focus on people engagement whilst demonstrating the Company’s Creators Code behaviours'. 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities 

•    Responsible for managing a production area including the control and organisation of all on track build activities and associated Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale and Environment targets and metrics are achieved including business compliance. 
•    Manage all activities to develop the team ensuring every employee has access to the Learning and Development, Motivation and Communication required to deliver the Business Plan objectives  
•    Represent the business area at all management forums and Vehicle Quality Reviews  
•    Uphold and enforce Company policies, with the confidence to hold others accountable where appropriate. 
•    Adapt to changing circumstances and culture transformation whilst remaining flexible with working hours as and when required. 
•    Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

•    Relevant previous experience of Production Management including consistent delivery of productivity targets in Manufacturing  
•    Experience of managing multi-skilled teams in multi-shift operations in Manufacturing  
•    Thorough understanding of Engineering/Manufacturing Processes, Tools and Techniques  
•    Demonstrable and experience in the application of a logical approach to Problem Solving.  
•    Proven ability to work within tight deadlines & be able to manage and prioritise multiple activities simultaneously  
•    Experience and working knowledge of Health and Safety Audits and ergonomics including risk assessments.  
•    Proficient in Microsoft Power Point and Excel  
•    Thorough Understanding and Application of Lean Tools and Techniques  
•    Experience working in a fast paced manufacturing environment  
•    Experience of working in partnership with a Trade Union 
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
•    Experience of managing large teams with the ability to inspire, motivate and lead the team effectively.  
•    Experience and ability to manage and resolve employee relation issues including absence management, disciplinary up to and including representation at a tribunal
