This role will work as part of the maintenance operations team at Solihull Paint Shop to provide engineering support to maximise production efficiencies and maintain all associated plant equipment and be responsible for first line response to requests / issues with equipment / processes.
WHAT TO EXPECT
To work as part of the maintenance team to ensure a safe and efficient production performance is delivered within the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People & the Environment framework. Complying to Health and Safety procedures by ensuring all safety metrics are achieved, including identifying safety hazards and risks and ensuring corrective action implemented and ensures the team receive appropriate training.
You'll also:
• Manage the Paint shop Maintenance service contracts, supporting contractors and keeping accurate logs of the work implemented.
• Manage the implementation of all process modifications and ensure all related documentation is updated
• Provide technical expertise to team problem solving activity to accurately identify root cause and corrective actions
• Contribute to environmental initiatives to maintain standards as required
• Work on waste within maintenance operations and continually seek efficiencies in all areas
• Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
• Previous experience in a similar role in maintenance operations in Manufacturing
• Technical (mechanical and electrical) automotive engineering skills gained in Manufacturing
• Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
You'll need experience in:
- COSHH Assessments
- Legionella
- Risk Assessment
- PUWER
- Calibration
