WHAT TO EXPECT:

 

Global Manufacturing Engineering-Logistics is a growing department, and the team has a great opportunity for an individual to join them.

 

The purpose of this role is to develop and execute Logistics solutions & automation strategies across JLR manufacturing facilities and operations as required to support International and local programmes. 

 

You will bring your skills and knowledge to support the development and execution of projects to ensure logistics operations are competitive in performance and value.
    
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

 

  • Support development of warehousing and logistics solutions to drive towards benchmark CPU/HPU performance through:
    • Data analysis
    • Identifying process waste and proposing solutions
    • Benchmarking best in class
  • Manage delivery of defined project elements in line with SQCDME
  • Liaise with stakeholders (e.g. Material Flow & Logistics Providers) to:
    • Optimise end-to end processes & solutions
    • Define solution requirements
    • Review headcount requirements (MTM)
    • Support implementation of IT systems (SAP EWM etc)
    • Ensure project inputs (e.g. data/assumptions) - are correct
  • Generate layouts & process flows
  • Create RFQ's and manage through process to nomination

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

 

  • Previous experience in Logistics  
  • Understanding of Logistics flows and process and principles of optimisation
  • Project management/delivery of small projects 
  • Strong analytical skills and statistical ability
  • Proficient IT skills in Excel / PowerPoint
