The main purpose of this role will be to manage a team supporting all New Model Introductions into Solihull through all material planning and supplies to plant.

 

WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Part of your role will be to ensure clear communication and appropriate escalation of issues which may affect continuity of production through Daily management of parts supply risks and escalations into Plant start up meetings and daily meeting cadence.

 

You'll also be responsible for: 

•    Coordinating with Suppliers, Engineering, Programme, Plant Production, Purchasing and STA in the effective resolution of supply issues that risk ongoing and future Plant performance and vehicle Launch.
•    Management of UK, EU and RoW supplier parts portfolio’s through direct and indirect team members in RFU.
•    Data analytical and reporting through platforms which support governance and central MP&L deployment.
•    Management of Senior Analysts to achieve a zero loss and zero misfit mindset.
•    Management of team and the KPI’s which drive this (Objectives, 121’s, Absence & holidays cover, Succession planning and removing Single points of failure).

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

 

Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills you'll need to have to help you succeed here, including:

 

•    Experience of managing a team.
•    Good communication skills (written & verbal) with ability to use own initiative. 
•    Relevant previous experience of material planning and supply with a manufacturing Environment. 
•    Working knowledge of problem solving tools including PPS/8D.
•    Ability to write A3s, technical reports and deliver presentations to various levels.
