WHAT YOU’LL NEED
JLR are currently looking for a ergonomist with experience in applying ergonomic principals to the product development process. The purpose of this role is to provide ergonomics standards, training, advice and investigation to new model programme development and current manufacturing teams to support the health, safety and wellbeing of production operators. The Ergonomist will provide guidance and direction to a wide range of internal customers as well as working with the Production Ergonomics team to develop improvements to the JLR Production Ergonomics procedure.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Undertake assessments and complete delivery of reports to customers within the agreed time frame.
- Support internal customer groups (including Product Engineering (PE), Manufacturing Engineering (ME), Plant Launch, and Current Manufacturing with their compliance with the Production Ergonomics procedure, company procedures and relevant local legislation.
- Undertake ergonomics assessments either in a physical workplace or using relevant software and / or motion capture technology and report findings to customers
- Deliver ergonomics training to internal customer groups and participate in development of future training formats
- Conduct ergonomics assessment audits with write up and follow up as per agreed requirements
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- A strong background/experience in ergonomics/human factors with a strong understanding of user centred design.
- Competent level of IT literacy and the ability to analyse and present data using IT systems and Microsoft Office and other software.
- Experience of project management and ability to multitask.
- Experience of work in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
- The ability to delivery ergonomic training and support to internal teams and other less experience members of the squad.
