Project Packaging Analyst
Grade C, local Nitra
Salary: From 1930 eur monthly, 0-15% yearly bonus, other benefits according JLR rules
OPPORTUNITY:
The Packaging Analyst will take a lead role in the Current Packaging team which ensures safe robust packaging processes for the supply chain to ensure that production volumes can be achieved.
The team is responsible for the preservation and availability of packaging from Job1 + 90 Days until model cessation. The department works with teams across the supply chain and suppliers on issue resolution and improvements to current processes.
With responsibility for analysing supply chain data, developing process improvements and managing change, the successful candidate will play a vital role in helping the Current Packaging Team achieve budgetary and operational objectives to support JLR’s plans for increased volume, product range and globalization.
Key accountabilities and Responsabilities
- Resolution and co-ordination of all packaging related issues across Nitra plant from job1 + 90 days until vehicle cessation. Entails providing real time containment and development of permanent corrective actions.
- Implement and ensure world class packaging processes through data analysis and working closely with suppliers and in-plant material handling teams.
- Lead cross functional teams to resolve complex packaging issues including supplier cost claims and packaging safety issues.
- Support all packaging changes / improvements resulting from quality issues.
- Develop and deliver the Non-Prod capital expenditure budget for Nitra packaging requirements.
- Develop detailed business cases to secure funding to optimise and maintain packaging loops.
- Co-ordination of current engineering changes, supplier resources and in-sources.
- Responsible for the verification process of JLR Container Assets including adhering to the timely disposal process.
- Maintenance of SAP packaging data.
- Responsible for the resolution of packaging related Speedy disputes
- Liaise with New Model Launch packaging teams to ensure flawless execution of new model programmes.
- Drive improvements to reverse logistics to ensure robust packaging return processes.
- Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction and deliver best practice through benchmarking studies.
- Manage Packaging Service Providers in line with commercial and operational service level requirements.
- Look for new ways of working, delivering original and imaginative approaches to problems.
- Identify space/storage requirements for the lifetime of the pallets
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Can demonstrate strong numerical and analytical skills in data control of production processes.
- Can demonstrate the ability to make decisions quickly, sometimes in demanding situations.
- Must be systems literate and demonstrate analytical skills including knowledge of MS Office and JLR Manufacturing suite of systems.
- Can effectively communicate at all levels within JLR & the Supply base.
- Demonstrate 100% flexibility / commitment and support in all situations including out-of-hours when necessary.
- Ideally qualified to degree level, with experience of working in an MP&L or similar environment
- At least 3 years experience in Automotive industry
Desirable:
- AutoCAD / Solid Works / Catia skills
- Technical education
- LEAN methodology knowledge
