Occupational Health Advisor
Grade C, local Nitra
Salary:  From 1900 eur monthly, 0-15% yearly bonus, other benefits according JLR rule

 

OPPORTUNITY
Acting as a key member of the Health, Safety & Wellbeing team, the Occupational Health Advisor will be responsible for providing advice and support to a wide range of customers within the business. Working closely with both the in-house occupational health team, and a third-party provider, the role will enable you to make a positive impact on the health, safety and wellbeing of employees. The role includes a mixture of proactive sickness absence case management, health surveillance and fitness for work, and health and wellbeing project involvement. 

 

Key Accountabilities and  Responsibilities

 

•    Working closely with the Health & Wellbeing Manager to support with delivery of the occupational health service and management of the department. 
•    Identify and evaluate all risk categories within JLR and develop plan how to mitigate or reduce them.
•    Cooperate with the ergonomist and external public health specialist and set up job rotation for manufacturing.
•    Check process of the medical checks.
•    Maintaining and issuing internal documentation relating to public health – internal standards, documentation related to legislation, collecting all of the results from environmental testing, etc. 
•    Management of chemical substances in JLR.
•    Provide technical and legislative support and guidance on health issues to production and engineering and other relevant teams.
•    Liaise with Regional Public Health authority and ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and maintained.
•    Develop, deliver and maintain training programs on health training and compliance tailored to the automotive industry.
•    Monitor situation around health events e.g. COVID-19 pandemic or other possible health problems which can impact production and make flexible decision about countermeasures
•    Create the rehabilitation program for the employees which are in risk working positions.
•    Cooperation with Safety team to secure wellbeing at work for employees.
•    Work closely with the Hiring department to implement development programmes for hiring the efficient candidates. 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience


•    Master’s degree or higher in Public Health.
•    Working with CAPTIV hardware is highly desirable.
•    Experience from automotive industry is highly desirable.
•    Experience with management of chemical substances is highly desirable.
•    English language B1 / B2 (intermediate English or upper-intermediate English) certificate highly desirable.
•    Familiarity with health status reporting and data analysis.
•    Experienced user of IT systems incl. MS Office
•    Office skills (Office 365, Teams, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint).
•    Driving license B.
•    Knowledge of health and wellbeing activities.
•    Accurate administration skills, attention to detail, data management and manipulation and have the ability to build business cases for return on investment.
