POSITION: Senior Sales Planning Analyst

Reporting to the Sales and Supply/Demand Planning Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the strategic planning for all Jaguar and Land Rover models; creating short and long-term forecasts that drive production and company profitability in the US market.

 

You will also be responsible for supporting the development, maintenance and accuracy of the current year vehicle forecast and business plan, ensuring production allocations support demand with optimized profitability. In addition, you will also lead as a brand subject matter expert, including competitive segment analysis, trim mix take rate and Special Vehicle Operations. The Senior Analyst will work closely with Product Planning, Finance, Marketing, Incentives, Distribution, & Global Supply/Demand Operations in the U.K.

What you will be doing:

  • Supporting the development and maintenance of the U.S. JLR current year forecast
  • Ensuring all department month-end responsibilities are completed timely and accurately
  • Providing analysis of monthly production allocation
  • Working closely with UK teams to ensure model allocations are in line with seasonality, as well as forecasted engine and trim requirements
  • Leading monthly and quarterly trim mix review meetings including Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) analysis; aligning customer demand with production
  • Ensuring accurate external/internal reporting of actual and forecasted wholesale, retail, and production volumes which is utilized by all areas of the company to determine department budgets and financial profitability
  • Developing detailed analysis and providing monthly presentations and insight to the JLR executive team
  • Discovering and owning new opportunities with autonomy within the business
  • Assisting with ad-hoc projects as needed
  • Performing other duties as required

 

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Automotive experience is a plus
  • Strong experience with forecasting
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with great attention to detail
  • Advanced MS Office skills are essential with particular strength in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must have strong business acumen and judgement, strong written and verbal communication skills, confident to work independently and contribute effectively when operating at the highest levels within JLR

 

 

Schedule: Hybrid Ways of Working (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday - office days; Wednesday and Friday - choice days)

 

Recruitment Salary Range: $92,000 - $115,000

 

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized components, including location, skills, experience, and market factors. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus in addition to a full range of medical/health, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick/personal, and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position”.
