POSITION: Software Validation Summer Intern

 Jaguar Land Rover North America’s internship program is a great opportunity for college students entering their junior or senior year, or who are currently in a graduate school program, to gain hands-on experience in the exciting world of the automotive industry!  This is a great opportunity for personal growth and development from a business and learning perspective.

 

In this internship, you will assist with the timely delivery of high-quality in-vehicle software systems for the US market through testing, validation, and evaluating suitability for the end customer. By working with our engineers, you will see how to progress the development of processes to continually drive and improve feature quality. You will also gain whole vehicle experience including infotainment and telematics systems as well as test methodology processes and defect management processes and tools..

 

 Details of the program:

  • The program is open to students at a Junior or Senior level in their Bachelor’s Degree program or a Graduate Program
  • The Internship runs from June 16, 2025 to August 2025.
  • 40 hours per week during business hours (Business Hours: Monday- Friday 8:30am-5:00pm)
  • Hybrid Schedule available  

 

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Participate in testing the various infotainment and Connected Car features
  • Assist with log collection and the reporting of found issues
  • Support system integration by performing ECU updates in test vehicles and desktop rigs
  • Support the installation of logging equipment in vehicles
  • Research and support the development of a microcontroller-based control unit for test rigs
  • Perform other duties as required.

 

 WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • The successful candidate must be currently enrolled in an engineering collegiate academic program for 2025/26 (either a junior, senior, or graduate student)
  • Natural problem solver with the ability to derive solutions to technical issues.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Planner, PowerAutomate)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferred – Understanding of Electrical & Product Engineering development processes
  • Preferred – Knowledge of automotive industry, including competitor and market awareness
  • Preferred – Familiarity with raspberry pi, linux and python
  • Ability to learn new technologies and software tools
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States
