POSITION: Senior Financial Services Retail Business Analyst

LOCATION: Mahwah, NJ

Recruitment Salary Range: $92,000 - $115,000

The Senior Financial Services Retail Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the Financial Services Team in defining short and long-term strategies that bolster the retail and lease finance business for Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) – US and Canada.  The successful candidate will also carry the responsibility of compiling available data on a regular basis to report on business performance to internal and external partners, tracking and measuring against defined KPIs and objectives.

 

The position is responsible for on-going analysis to determine the competitive position of JLR products within the Financial Services landscape in order to optimize strategy & spend with the selected finance and insurance providers in the US and Canada. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for bi-monthly residual value analysis to support new and pre-owned sales.  This position acts as the liaison between the JLR product teams and ALG for coordinating and managing new vehicle residual value (RV) studies and evaluating RV impacts of product offer changes for each model line at model year change points.

 

The position will also handle account management for the newly launched JLR digital retailing solution – acting as the main point of contact between internal stakeholders, retailers and the payments vendor in the US to ensure an optimal client experience is being delivered at all times. The successful candidate will support the Financial Services Manager with maintaining and improving business relationships with the key FS partners delivering banking, residual value setting, payments management and insurance products and services to JLR and its clients.

 

What to expect:

  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop programs that support sales targets.  Facilitate information between internal stakeholders and partners to ensure programs will be launched on a monthly basis.
  • On a regular basis, work with Product Planning, Finance & Retail Operations to conduct a competitive benchmark report for stakeholders.  This includes gathering internal and competitive data through internal and external resources (i.e. JD Power PIN) and providing strategic insights.  Additionally, the analyst is responsible for communicating and highlighting changes in trends of competitor programs, allowing for management to understand the competitiveness of our products against the segment.
  • Work with Product teams to gather detailed information required by ALG to ensure the most optimum RVs at vehicle launch.  This includes managing and enforcing key dates for all inputs / data to ALG.  Review inputs and make recommendations.
  • Manage all product launch dates to ensure RV availability preceding the launch of the vehicle.  Allow for appropriate lead time to support timing of wholesales, as well as Marketing related communication / pre-order programs.
  • Facilitate ALG involvement and participation of New Product reveals, including getting ALG in the vehicles prior to the start of delivery, as well as ALG RV custom quote.
  • Create and distribute bi-monthly RV analysis to show book over book changes.  Facilitate bi-monthly meetings with ALG & JLR stakeholders to review results & trends.
  • Identify opportunities to automate/streamline information for analytics and reporting.
  • Account management for the JLR digital retailing solution – including adding/removing users and retailers and maintaining payment methods.
  • Triage & escalate digital issues affecting service on the platform – key point of contact to platform provider for issue resolution and development opportunities.
  • Customer payments experience owner – ensuring the JLR payments services meet customer expectations in terms of journeys and methods.
  • For both US & Canada, work with Global Financial Services, our bank financing partner and Marketing to support all activities around the maintenance and utilization of the online payment calculator. Additionally, the FS Business Analyst will be responsible for facilitating the process and set up of the online calculator for Canada.
  • Support the Financial Services Manager with FS / JLR FG / Insurance Marketing initiatives as required.
  • Create and distribute volume, mix, penetration and renewal/loyalty reports to augment/further analyze JLR Financial Group (US & Canada) performance with the Global Financial Services team.
  • Support the Network Development team with the ongoing measurement of the Financial Services Penetration KPI within the Retailer Balanced Scorecard – including supporting the FS Manager in setting objectives annually.
  • Manage distribution of sales reports, sales & incentive programs, sales data, and service loaner usage to external partners.
  • File and pay monthly subvention bills and partner invoices within SAP.
  • Create relevant market reports and recommendations to highlight competitive opportunities.
  • Create and communicate various reports, analysis, presentations and communications as required by the business, such as product pricing repositioning & competitive analysis.
  • Support the FS Manager with startup & launch initiatives for the phase-in of a branded owner insurance program – including retailer integration planning, claims & service support, and future partnership development.
  • Supporting the FS Team to stand up FS related events and partner experiences – with the goal of strengthening business relationships.

 

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ financial experience related to role
  • Advanced Excel skills to support financial analysis
  • Tableau and PowerPoint skills
  • SAP knowledge, processing bills and invoices
  • Working knowledge of attributes of retail & lease contracts, lease inputs, and calculation
  • Residual value analysis experience desired
  • Ability to influence others through written and verbal communication is essential
  • Auto experience desired, but not necessary
  • Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance Producer License desired, but not necessary

 

Schedule: Hybrid Ways of Working (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday - office days; Wednesday and Friday - choice days)

 

*Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized components, including location, skills, experience, and market factors. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus in addition to a full range of medical/health, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick/personal, and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position”.
