Reporting to the Manager of Research & Insights, the successful candidate will leverage an extensive array of research skills to support marketing, product, design, sales, and strategy teams.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Supporting the development, implementation, analysis and presentation of both custom qualitative and quantitative consumer research at all phases by working cross-functionally with multiple departments.
  • Uncovering new consumer and market insights through the collection and analysis of data that can drive action and strategy throughout the organization.
  • Co-writing discussions guides and surveys, developing screeners, reviewing research methodologies and identifying best practices for implementation on qualitative research projects.
  • Supporting and supervising field research including focus groups, depth interviews, ethnographic projects, pricing studies, etc.
  • Supporting the management, scheduling and analysis of syndicated research studies with our key industry partners such as JD Power, Strategic Vision, etc.
  • Co-developing pricing and feature research studies with agency partners to explore topics such as brand valuation, price elasticity, feature pricing and more.
  • Conducting statistical analysis of existing primary and syndicated customer datasets.
  • Co-presenting key insights to senior management and leadership both locally and abroad in a compelling manner that will help stakeholders understand consumer needs and how those needs impact solutions.
  • Coordinating with overseas counterparts on both major and minor research initiatives and ensuring the voice of the North American market is properly represented.
  • Supporting the construction and maintenance of an insights dashboard for distribution and use throughout the organization.

 

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Psychology, Business, Statistics, or related field – or relevant work experience
  • 2 years' minimum experience in qualitative and quantitative consumer research, preferably a mixture of research skills
  • Strong team collaboration skills and a natural ability to listen and understand different points of view.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills; organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong methodological foundation in qualitative research including focus groups, ethnography, IDI’s, etc with a solid understanding of how to approach discussion guides, screeners and interviewing.
  • Proficient in basic data analysis with exposure to pricing research techniques such as conjoint, Van Westendorp, Gabor Granger, Monadic, etc.
  • Experience with Excel statistical package, SPSS, or similar and utilizing general business statistics techniques.
  • A natural ability to understand consumer behavior and explain it in a simple and straightforward manner to others.
  • Comfortable with occasional domestic travel and international travel (10% or less)

 

 

Schedule: Hybrid Ways of Working (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday - office days; Wednesday and Friday - choice days)

 

Recruitment Salary Range: $60,000 - $77,000

 

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized components, including location, skills, experience, and market factors. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus in addition to a full range of medical/health, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick/personal, and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position”.
