POSITION: Director, Sales Operations
LOCATION: Mahwah, NJ
SALARY RECRUITMENT RANGE: $156,500 - $204,000*

Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, and as part of Jaguar Land Rover’s Senior Leadership Team, headquartered in Mahwah, NJ, you will be developing and managing the strategy of the Sales Operations department. You will also be responsible for short and long-term strategy for volume planning, incentives, logistics, distribution, fleet, and customer experience. This role leads an organization of 30 team members with 6 direct reports.

- Sales Planning:
- Set the annual and monthly retail and wholesale forecasts working cross-functionally with finance, central planning, & House of Brands teams.
- Collaborate with the Global Supply Planning Organization on forward looking production plans.
- Accurately forecast trim mix and proactively adjusting to market demand signals.
- Understand the P&L impacts of all production and mix changes to optimize for profitability.
- Vehicle Distribution:
- Ensure fair and equitable distribution of vehicles to retailers.
- Provide leadership and direction with regard to order timing and strategy.
- Work in partnership with the finance and remarketing team to oversee the company operational fleet as well as employee vehicle program.
- Ports & Logistics:
- Ensure timely movement and clearance of all vehicles through the 3 JLR Ports around the US.
- Provide direction and strategy to support the flow of vehicles and ensure all port quality actions done in a timely and efficient manner.
- Sales Operations & Incentives.
- Manage the process of quarterly incentives to support volume targets, optimizing for profitability - from the development, to presenting and obtaining Senior executive approval globally.
- Work with Finance Team to ensure all incentive programs are on budget and within fiscal goals to attain sales numbers.
- Work closely with marketing to provide direction on where marketing investment can most provide the most effective support.
- Oversee market intelligence team to understand competitive position and pricing strategy/actions.
- Customer Experience
- Set NPS and Sales 6 (JLRs Sales Experience Index) targets for the market.
- Manage and oversee the customer experience improvement program.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to have to help you succeed here, including:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 5-10+ years of experience in a senior role.
- Previous experience in Sales Operations
- Previous experience in automotive is a plus.
- Previous supervisory experience is essential.
- Knowledge of marketing finance, and service.
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills;
- Strong analytical skills, as written, oral and interpersonal communications skills;
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills – particularly advanced PowerPoint and Excel;
- Must have strong business acumen and judgment, with the confidence to contribute effectively when operating at the highest level within JLR;
- Ability to travel on occasion, as required, both domestically and internationally (approximately 15-20% of the time).

Schedule: Hybrid Ways of Working (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday - office days; Wednesday and Friday - choice days)
*Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized components, including location, skills, experience, and market factors. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus in addition to a full range of medical/health, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick/personal, and parental leave).
