POSITION: CAL & Technical Center Manager

LOCATION: Mahwah, NJ

RECRUITMENT SALARY RANGE: $107,500 - $150,000*

Reporting directly to the North America Technical Services Director, you will lead the Customer Acceptance Line (CAL) team collaborating with the supplier, to detect and repair all the issues to JLR standard, achieve operational efficiency, quality and safety goals. Port of Entry (PoE) is the very first point of receival in market for imported JLR vehicles. You will also ensure we are delivering the best quality products to our Retailer partners and end customers.

 

WHAT TO EXPECT:

 In this role, no two tasks are the same. With lots of projects and relationships to build with people across the business and beyond, it’s a challenge that will help your career grow within an iconic organization. Here’s what to expect:

 

  • Implementing and launching a Customer Acceptance Line at three ports across North America 

  • Operational oversight role, managing strategic and reporting requirements 

  • Managing the supplier led Technical Workshop to ensure operational excellence

  • Management of the supplier-led Technical Center located in Mahwah, NJ .

  • Performing other duties as required

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to have to help you succeed here, including:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management is preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years Project Management experience 
  • Ideally 5 years of port operation experience 
  • Excellent understanding on Quality management and problem-solving tools 
  • Operational productivity and safety management skills 
  • 5 years of automotive technical experience
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet firm deadlines, while consistently delivering a high standard of work
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills are essential, and must be comfortable presenting to all levels of management
  • Must have strong business acumen, and the ability to work with people at varying levels with the organization and network;

 

 

Schedule:  Hybrid Ways of Working (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday - office days; Wednesday and Friday - choice days)

  

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized components, including location, skills, experience, and market factors. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus in addition to a full range of medical/health, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick/personal, and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position”.
